Student Life

Students at Lighthouse Christian Academy enjoy vibrant, energetic activities that engage them as profoundly as their academic pursuits. Partnering with the Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center, LCA gives students the opportunity to experience and explore the unique estuary of the Chesapeake Bay with hands-on and investigative studies and field trips for every student.

The varied and anticipated field trips take students from dramatizing pirates on the Chesapeake Bay to running a bakery at the Baltimore Museum of Industry to analyzing the patterns of the night skies. LCA’s curriculum is carefully matched with creative, memorable field trips that enhance and broaden the students’ understanding of their classroom studies.

LCA Athletics include volleyball and basketball teams that play area Christian schools. Our Drama Department presents and annual play that involves students throughout the school. The highlight of the school year is the annual History Festival, during which each class presents grade-specific creative performances based on the period of history they’ve studied throughout the year, complete with games and a feast in which all school families are participants.
